Warts are small, lumpy masses on the skin. They are small, rough, irregular growths on the skin that are commonly caused by viruses from the family of human papilloviruses. Although the infection is harmless, dealing with it is quite unpleasant. Warts spread easily. However, it may take weeks, months, or even years for them to disappear on their own. Common areas affected include the hands, feet and genitals.
A fleshy, painless growth on the skin is the predominant symptom. The majority of the time, symptoms are absent, but in a small number of extremely uncommon situations, there may be pain in the area where the wart is located. More than half of the time, warts disappear on their own, just leaving a minor scar in their wake. Chemical peels, surgery, freezing, and laser surgery are examples of conventional therapies, although they can be costly and irritate the skin. However, almost all warts can be treated at home with simple home remedies.
