Home Remedies for Celiac Disease – Celiac disease, an inherited and auto-immune disorder, is a digestive disease that happens as a result of glutan reaction. Glutan is a protein that is present in barley, rye, wheat and other food items that made with grains. When glutan enters into our body, our immune system responds to it and harms our intestine as a result of its reaction.

Celiac disease is also known as Celiac Sprue and Glutan-sensitive enteropathy.

This disease manifests differently from person to person. Consumption of oats can trigger this disease in some persons.

  • Avoid Glutan-containing foods : Prevent eating of almost all bread and grain products, soya sauce, deserts, ice creams, etc. And try eating fruits, meats and vegetables.
  • Drinking of water : Helps to remove toxins from body faster.
  • Eat thoroughly cooked and warm food : Helps to digest easily and lesser the inflammation speedly.
  • Paprika : Anti-inflammatory properties in paprika helps in curing small intestine inflammation. You can either sprinkle it in your food or drink a glass of water mixed with 1 tspn of lemon juice, honey and half tspn of paprika powder.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar : Acetic acid in apple cider vinegar has anti-inflammatory properties, thus it helps to speed up the healing process of small intestine. Have it by mixing 1-2 tblspn of apple cider vinegar either with 1 cup of water or with salad before meal.
  • Coconut products : The antimicrobial property and fiber content in coconut helps to prevent pathogenic organisms.
  • Yogurt : Eating yogurt helps to support the formation of beneficial bacteria and also enhances healing process of digestive tract.
  • Ginger : It has strong healing properties that helps to get relief from many symptoms of celiac disease. Ginger helps in restoring the functios of small intestine. Drink ginger tea two times a day. For making ginger tea, add 1 tspn of smashed or grated ginger into 1 and half cup of water and boil it for 5 minutes.
  • Turmeric : It helps to alleviate the symptoms of celiac disease by its anti-inflammatory properties. Also it helps for detoxification process. Boil a cup of water and add half tspn of turmeric powder and a pinch of black pepper. Boil it for a couple of minutes and then drink it.
